24-year-old behind car and motorcycle thefts in Chania

A 24-year-old man, who had turned vehicle theft into a profession, was located and arrested by the authorities.

According to cretapost information, everything was revealed the day before yesterday morning when the 24-year-old attempted to steal a car parked on a street in Chania. However, his actions were noticed by the vehicle’s owner, who alerted the authorities. The police quickly found him riding a stolen motorcycle and arrested him.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that from December 5th to 14th, the 24-year-old had committed six thefts and burglaries in parked vehicles, stealing two hunting shotguns, bank cards, money, and various other items.

Various burglary tools were found in his possession and seized.

The preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Subdivision of Crime Suppression and Investigation.
