A complete profile of the actions of the 43-year-old Lebanese man who, on Friday (20/12), carried out an unprovoked attack on a young woman in Exarchia with a crowbar, striking her on the head, is being sketched out by EL.AS. (Hellenic Police) officials.

The young woman was struck at around 3:00 p.m. while walking unsuspectingly along Kallidromiou Street. The perpetrator hit her and then attempted to flee. However, he was eventually spotted by officers of the Rapid Response Unit on Stournari Street and arrested, while the victim was transported to KAT Hospital. According to information, she is at risk of losing sight in one eye.

As revealed by the police investigation, this is not the first time the 43-year-old has exhibited such behavior. Reports indicate that he had previously carried out a similar attack, which led to his arrest and subsequent release. Specifically, last June, the Lebanese man was arrested again, accused of attacking a woman with sexual intent. At that time, he was brought to justice and released.

What investigators are now examining is whether the perpetrator may also be linked to other incidents of attacks against women.
