Attack on ISAP: Four accused released after their testimonies

Three of the accused denied involvement in the attack

Newsroom December 30 04:24

The four individuals accused of the violent attack against two 17-year-olds at the ISAP station in Marousi were released after giving their testimonies today at the courts of the former Evelpidon school.

The accused were released under the condition of reporting to their local police station twice a month.

According to sources, during their testimonies, three of the accused denied any involvement in the attack. In contrast, only one, an 18-year-old, admitted to being present at the attack. However, he claimed that he neither assaulted nor robbed the victims.

It is reminded that the prosecution had pressed felony charges against the four accused for robbery committed jointly.

The charges extend not only to the four accused but also to an unspecified number of other perpetrators. Besides the felony of joint robbery, the charges include misdemeanors such as endangering the physical integrity of vulnerable individuals (committed jointly and repeatedly), illegal possession of weapons, and illegal use of weapons.

The violent attack occurred after 1 a.m. on Christmas morning. According to reports, around 20-25 individuals, traveling in three cars, stopped in front of the ISAP station square, exited the vehicles, and attacked the two 17-year-olds, hitting them with punches, kicks, and metal rods.

Immediately after the brutal fight, the young assailants fled, while the two minors were transported by EKAV ambulances to KAT Hospital with minor injuries to their legs.
