Horror and dismay are evoked by the torture that a three-year-old child who has been hospitalized since Sunday morning (Jan. 26) intubated in the ICU of Pagni.

According to reports, the couple blamed each other for the abuse of the 3-year-old boy, while, the 44-year-old, who is a drug addict, was charged with domestic violence by his ex-wife in 2022.

As the report shows, the nightmare the angel had been living for at least three months, was revealed today at noon after the ambulance received a call from a resident of Therissos Heraklion. The child was living in the area with his 26-year-old mother and her 44-year-old partner and was received by ambulance staff in a comatose state.

A doctor at the Heraklion Hospital who received the 3-year-old child was shocked by the image and immediately called the authorities. As he said, the child bore obvious signs of physical abuse all over his body, such as bruises, bruises, cigarette burn marks, etc., made at various intervals. Finally, the minor was intubated to undergo surgery as a hematoma in the brain and a ruptured abdominal aorta were found.

After the above, police officers went again to the child’s house where they located his mother and her partner and handcuffed them. The findings from the search conducted in the area in combination with the injuries the child sustained are also shocking as, among other things, a BB gun, a wooden bat, and two pieces of wood from a child’s bed were found, with which they beat the 3-year-old.

According to reports, the neighborhood had reportedly heard a commotion from the couple’s home, however, no report was made to authorities.

The two arrested men are charged with attempted murder, bodily harm to a weak person, and domestic violence. In addition, seven Zanax tablets were found in the 44-year-old’s possession, for which he did not have the necessary prescription.
