A barrage of new earthquakes has been recorded in the Cyclades region in recent hours, continuing the seismic sequence of the last week.
A new strong earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale occurred off the coast of Amorgos at noon on Monday, February 10, at 13:23.

The epicenter, according to the Geodynamic Institute, is located 11 kilometers southwest of Arkesini and the focal depth is estimated at 17.7 kilometers.
This earthquake was followed by another earthquake measuring 3.8 and 4.2 on the Richter scale.

Earlier, a 4.1 magnitude earthquake had occurred in the same area at 12:27. Its focal depth was 12.9 kilometers.
