Polls following protests GPO: Losses for all parties, gains for Konstantopoulou and Velopoulos

52.5% call for early elections - 71.9% say the government is trying to cover up responsibilities, 82.4% say the opposition is trying to exploit the government politically - Just below 20% is the "grey zone" of the electorate

Declines for all parties and gains only for Plevsi Eleftherias and Hellenic Solution, according to the first major poll since the rallies, presented on Star’s main newscast.

According to the outcomes of the survey, for the first time, a majority of citizens are in favour of early elections, while seven out of ten blame the government for the accident and cover-up responsibilities, while more than eight out of ten believe that the opposition is trying to exploit the case politically

In the voting intention, the lead of New Democracy over PASOK is limited to 8.3 percentage points, but Kyriakos Mitsotakis is only opposed by “No one” in the question of who is best suited for the post of prime minister.

New Democracy’s vote intention is down to 23.1% from 26.7% in January, a loss of 3.6 points, and PASOK drops to 14.8% from 16.6% in the previous month. A big rise to 6.9% from 3.8% in January is recorded by Eleftherias Eleftherias, while Hellenic Solution rises from 7.9% in January to 9.2% today. KKE 7.9%. SYRIZA 6%. Voice of Reason 4.2%. NIKI 2,2%. Democracy Movement 2.1%. Mera 25 1,8%. New Left 1,7%.

To the question whether early elections should be held after the developments in the tragedy of Tempi, 52.5% answered yes and probably yes, while to the question whether the government has lost popular legitimacy, 67.7% answered yes and probably yes.

Asked whether there is confidence in the Greek justice system, 59.8% answered no and probably no.

71.9% of citizens believe that the government is trying to cover up the Tempi case, 85% blame it for the tragedy and 86.2% believe that there are criminal responsibilities of political figures.

Among the voters of the New Democracy party, 58.6% blame the government for the accident, while 65.6% believe that there are also criminal responsibilities of politicians.

By participating in the rallies, 64.1% of citizens say they wanted to honor the memory of the victims, 64.1% wanted to demand justice, 56.1% wanted to ask for justice, and 47.4% wanted to send a message of protest to the government.
