Strong clashes with Socrates Famellos, Nikos Pappas and Euclid Tsakalotos were had by the Minister of State, Akis Skertsos at noon on Thursday in the Parliament.
Addressing the president of SYRIZA, he called it a “hubris”, as he said he “dared to wag his finger at the government while participating in the meeting with Tsipras on Mati“.
“We are not the same because I would not have sat at the same table with Mr Tsipras on the night in Mati because that was a cover-up,” he continued, pointing from his mobile phone to a photo of the meeting called by the former prime minister on the fateful night in Mati
“You are trying to whitewash what you are doing. You are sitting next to Pappas 13-0. You tried to fool the whole society, the institutions, you dragged former prime ministers, ministers, the governor of the Bank of Greece with the Novartis plot,” he continued in high tones.
Addressing the PASOK wing, he said “it is very sad that PASOK has become the tail of Konstantopoulou’s SYRIZA. These are the same political bodies that called you quisling. You are suffering from a human tragedy from an accident that has deeply wounded us all, and because you have no alternative, you identify with those who persecuted you. You have all become the tail of Velopoulos and you all come and wag your finger at me and Famellos, who collaborated with Kamenos.”
And when Euclid Tsakalotos protested loudly, Akis Skertsos told him “don’t shout, 10 years ago you and Varoufakis took us to a mock referendum to get us out of the euro“.
“Get out of here. You are not ashamed” the former Finance Minister shouted with Akis Skertsos continuing by saying “tomorrow I will go to Evelpidon to defend Yannis Stournaras for the plot you set up” while addressing Nikos Pappas he said “don’t shake your head, you are convicted for breach of duty with 13-0”
Akis Skertsos also referred to today’s Estia article which has already been answered by government circles and said that “the order for the machines that had to go to the spot and perform the search and rescue work was what drove all the decisions. You are coming afterwards and criminalising official actions and this is recorded in the EODASAM’s finding. Triandopoulos had a single mission: He was to provide relief and support to citizens when they faced disasters. He stood by the side of people who were affected by the accident.”
“The government is clean, transparent and available to justice. The commission will be asked to decide who to summon,” the state minister added.
