Looking for a Job Without Success? Thinking of Re-entering the Job Market but Don’t Know Where to Start?
Have you been searching for a job for a long time without results? Do you want to re-enter the job market but feel lost on where to begin? Do you feel that your knowledge and skills don’t match what employers or industries you’re interested in are looking for? Or are you feeling stuck and considering a career shift?
In all these cases, you could benefit from WHEN’s new career counseling service (formerly known as Women on Top), which is offered for free to any woman in need—either online or in person at the WHEN Hub.
What Does the Program Offer?
Through this program, up to 200 women will have the opportunity to receive career guidance with the support of WHEN’s specialized career counselor. Participants will gain insights into professional development, enhance their job search skills, connect with potential employers, and explore pathways into self-employment or entrepreneurship.
Each participant will have access to 4-6 career counseling sessions (either online or in-person), covering:
- Writing or refining cover letters (in Greek or English).
- Co-developing a personalized career action plan.
- Drafting or improving a CV (in Greek or English).
- Learning effective job search techniques.
- Preparing for interviews and improving self-presentation skills.
Who Can Benefit?
The program is designed to empower and support women at any stage of their career—whether they are just starting out or facing challenges in their professional journey. Special emphasis will be given to the needs of:
- Single mothers
- Long-term unemployed women
- Women aged 45+
- Migrants and refugees
- Women living below the poverty line
- Women with disabilities or chronic illnesses
- LGBTQ+ women and gender minorities
- Women in remote or rural areas
Join the Launch Event
If you’re curious about how career counseling could support you, you can start by attending the program’s launch event—a speed counseling session and introduction to WHEN’s new career counselor—on Wednesday, April 2, from 17:30 to 19:30, at the Hub (Sokratous 29, Omonia, Athens).
What is the WHEN Hub?
WHEN Hub is a co-working space where women, gender minorities, and anyone interested in gender equality can work, grow, develop new skills, and gain empowerment through a supportive community. Parents can also benefit from creative childcare services while they work or attend sessions.
