Another seizure of a large quantity of cocaine was made by officers of the regional prosecution drugs of the central port authority of Piraeus at the container station.

In particular, 45 plastic packages containing a quantity of cocaine with a total gross weight of 53.778 kilograms were seized, for the total value of which criminal penalties are provided by the legislation.

In cooperation with the Directorate for the prosecution of drugs and smuggling of the headquarters of the Coast Guard, operations to collect evidence and material evidence, as well as investigations for the identification and arrest of the perpetrators, are being carried out from the very first moment.

In this context, an inter-agency cooperation mechanism has been activated with the Piraeus Customs Department, ELAS, the SDOE, and foreign authorities.

A preliminary investigation is being conducted by the Central Port Authority of Piraeus.
