Alexia Tsatsou, who passed away at the age of 54, was an active lawyer with a broad scientific, professional, and social contribution.

Daughter of the renowned constitutional scholar Dimitris Tsatsos, she too followed a path deeply connected with Law and Institutions.

She was a member of the Athens Bar Association and actively participated in the Boards of significant institutions, such as the European Constitutional Law Center – Themistoklis & Dimitris Tsatsos Foundation and the Dimitris Tsatsos Institute for European Constitutional Sciences.

Her professional experience included significant milestones: she worked at the State Legal Council and collaborated with the Max-Planck Institute in Munich, while she was an assistant to the Legal Advisor at the National Technical University of Athens. Her time at the international auction house Christie’s, where she worked on documenting 19th-century paintings, was also significant.

Dedicated to the public good, she was a volunteer in organizations such as “Merimna,” animal welfare societies, and “The Smile of the Child.” She also served as a special advisor to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and a collaborator of the Legal Advisor on urban planning, spatial planning, and environmental issues, especially in the context of Greece’s bid for the EXPO.

In her personal life, she was married to economist Nasso Chatzidimitriou and was the mother of two children.

Alexia Tsatsou passed away suddenly at the age of 54. The news of her death was announced in a post by Andreas Loverdos.
