Eurovision 2025: Klavdia will perform alone on stage — Her grandmother’s dress and earrings
Today, the Greek delegation held the press day at the Megaron Music Hall, where Klavdia and her team shared the first details about the song “Asteromata.”
Fokas Evangelinos, who is directing the performance, disclosed that Klavdia will start alone on stage and then another person will join her. He clarified that there will be no mirrors, contrary to some rumors suggesting so, firmly dismissing any related speculation.

Regarding Klavdia’s dress, Evangelinos noted that it has been designed not to overshadow her but to support the song’s style and emotion. He expressed his personal connection to the performance, explaining that it holds special significance for him because he hails from Messolonghi and deeply understands the meaning of uprooting.
As Evangelinos revealed: “She will be mostly alone on stage, except for a brief moment at the end when another person will appear. The outfit will be a very beautiful creation that came out of discussion. The dress will have all the necessary elements without anything overpowering Klavdia. Everything on stage must harmonize and highlight her. I won’t let anything overshadow her—neither the lights, nor the visuals, nor the costume.”

He also spoke about Klavdia’s unique voice, saying: “Klavdia doesn’t just sing with her voice; she sings with her soul, creating a vibration. What she achieved is that she seems to take your hand and lead you into a story she tells, a story she learned from her grandparents.”
Klavdia herself revealed that on stage she will wear her grandmother’s earrings and plans not to part with her characteristic glasses. Regarding the stand-in rehearsal completed recently, the young singer said she was moved by what she saw. This rehearsal involves another singer or performer (stand-in) singing the song on the designed stage, to check lighting, angles, shots, and overall visual effect before the delegation travels to the contest location.

The singer also shared what she will pack first for her trip to Switzerland: “I haven’t packed my suitcase yet. The first thing I’ll put in is a little eye charm made from wool—an amazing handmade talisman. I had dreamed of this and believed I’d get on stage, but I didn’t expect it to happen so soon.”

Regarding the Greek lyrics, Arcade, who wrote the song with Klavdia and composed the music, said they tried to write “Asteromata” with English lyrics too, but abandoned the idea because they felt it was too artificial and that it would mock the audience with the foreign element.
As previously announced, Jenny Theona will be the one to give Greece’s twelve points at the Eurovision final.
