Scarlett Johansson made a stunning entrance at Cannes just days after appearing as the host of the 50th season finale of Saturday Night Live. The star flew to the French Riviera for the annual Cannes Film Festival and walked the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals accompanied by her husband and former SNL cast member, Colin Jost.
On the occasion of the premiere of the film Vie Privée, Johansson captivated attendees with a particularly striking outfit. She chose an ethereal light blue gown made of silk chiffon, a custom creation by the house of Prada, which directly evoked the golden era of classic cinema.
The strapless gown featured a draped corset bodice that gently embraced her bust and accentuated her waist, offering a sculptural yet flowing silhouette. The skirt trailed into two long, side panels, adding to its elegant movement.

The cinematic reference was unmistakable: Johansson’s appearance paid direct homage to the iconic light blue gown worn by Grace Kelly, designed by the legendary Edith Head for Alfred Hitchcock’s To Catch a Thief, which was also filmed on the French Riviera.

Princess Diana had also drawn inspiration from that same Grace Kelly look when she attended the Cannes Film Festival in 1987. Now, Scarlett Johansson brings that touch of magic back to life once again.
