The PSIM antenna mast was installed today by Naval Group manufacturers, in cooperation with the Navy’s naval escort on the FDI frigate HS Formion, the launch of which is scheduled for June 4, in Lorian, Bretan.
Notably, the PSIM (Panoramic Sensor & Intelligence Module) weighing 150 tons and 42 meters high is an integrated mast that houses various sensors, including radars, electronic warfare and friendly or enemy target calibration (IFF) systems.

Still, it provides 360-degree coverage enabling search, tracking, classification and tracking of targets at sea, ashore and in the air.

HS Formion, the new FDI frigate of the Hellenic Navy, was launched yesterday, while part of its crew has gone on site to monitor the progress of the work.

Meanwhile, advanced stage trials continue on HS Kimon, while the schedule calls for trials on the third FDI frigate in the series, HS Nearchos, to start later.
