Trump described the conversation as “good”, but clarified that “it is not a conversation that will lead to immediate peace”. According to him, President Putin strongly expressed Russia’s intention to respond to the attack on the airports.

Meanwhile, the two leaders discussed Iran‘s nuclear program, with Trump stressing that “time is running out” for Tehran in terms of making a decision on nuclear weapons. “I told President Putin that Iran cannot get nuclear weapons. I think we agree on that,” he noted.

As he said, Putin expressed his intention to participate in consultations with Iran, believing that it could potentially help resolve the issue faster. Trump stressed that the Iranian leadership is deliberately delaying its decision and pointed to the need for a definitive answer as soon as possible.
