The temperature has risen sharply across Greece over the past two days, with mercury topping 36 degrees Celsius today. The weather is perfect for swimming while seas across the country are warm, with the warm invasion continuing over the next few days.
Temperatures on Thursday topped 36 degrees Celsius in four areas. today was the first day in 2025 that the mercury exceeded 35 degrees Celsius.

The relatively high temperatures in the first days of June 2025, combined with the absence of strong winds, caused a rise in the surface temperature of the Greek seas.
The weather on Friday
The weather will be generally clear on Friday, but clouds will gradually develop from midday in places on the mainland. Local rain and sporadic thunderstorms will occur in Macedonia and the rest of the continental highlands.

On Monday, June 9, Holy Spirit, the weather will be generally clear. The winds will blow northwest 3 to 5 and in the Aegean Sea locally 6 Beaufort. The temperature will rise slightly further in the east.
