US President Donald Trump said yesterday (Sunday) that he hopes Israel and Iran will be able to reach a ceasefire agreement, adding that sometimes some countries want to fight each other.

Addressing reporters before leaving for the G7 summit in Canada, Trump also stressed that the US armed forces would continue to support Israel, avoiding clarifying whether he was urging Washington’s closest ally in the Middle East to stop its unprecedented scope of its attack on the Islamic Republic.
