Temperatures will remain steady at 37–38°C today, Tuesday (15/7), especially in mainland Greece, and are expected to continue similarly in the coming days. Strong northerly winds, locally reaching up to 7 Beaufort, combined with prolonged drought, continue to create conditions favorable for wildfires.

However, after midday, local clouds will develop over mainland regions, and localized showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected in areas such as Epirus, Macedonia, western Central Greece, and Thessaly, mainly in mountainous areas.
In the mainland and in Athens, temperatures will reach 38°C.
Northerly winds of 4–6 Beaufort will blow, and in the Aegean, locally up to 7 Beaufort, helping to somewhat ease the heat.
Yesterday (Monday), temperatures exceeded 40°C in Skala, Messinia (40.6°C), followed by Sparta (39.3°C) and Gortyna in Heraklion (38.9°C), according to meteo.gr.
