Russia is not only not preparing for a ceasefire, but is planning new offensive actions, Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday.
Ukraine‘s president noted that the Russians are moving troops to launch new attacks. He based his report on an intelligence report.
Earlier Monday, Zelensky had stressed that Russia “wants to buy time, not end the war.”
In a social media message after his phone conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, Zelensky said he conveyed Ukraine’s view of Russia’s “real intentions and plans” to him.
“We have the same view and it is obvious that the Russians just want to buy time, not end the war,” he wrote in X, adding that “the situation on the battlefield and Russia’s unjust attacks on civilian infrastructure and ordinary people clearly prove it.”
