A petition for divorce from her plastic surgeon husband, Howard Crane, has been filed by former US president Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley, after 13 years of marriage.

The 44-year-old Asley Biden filed the petition in a Philadelphia court on Monday.

On the same day, in fact, according to the New York Post, she even posted stories on Instagram of herself walking through a park with Beyoncé’s song Freedom as her “musical carpet.”

In a second post, he carried the phrase “new life, new beginnings mean new boundaries. New ways of not looking or sounding the same as before.”

For now, however, no further information has been released about the reasons for the divorce.

Ashley Biden and Dr. Crane were married in Delaware in June 2012, two years after Joe Biden’s son, Bo brought them together.

At the time, Joe Biden, who was vice president of the United States, had said of Crane, “he’s the right man.”
