Flames from the massive wildfire burning across Preveza since yesterday have reached the facilities of the migrant reception center in Filippiada.

As announced by Minister of Migration and Asylum Thanos Plevris, the center was evacuated on Tuesday night. Today, Fire Service crews are fighting to protect the buildings from destruction.

By order of the minister, the ministry’s Secretary General, Dimitrios Glymis, is on site to coordinate and monitor the situation.
