The action in the EuroBasket 2025 group stages continues unabated. Among today’s (September 2nd) fixtures, Greece will face Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The game is set to start at 3:00 PM with live broadcast on both ERΤ News and Nova Sports Start.
Greece is among the teams that have not lost a game in the tournament to date and today will aim to go 4-0, chasing the top spot in the group in Limassol.
Thanasis Antetokounmpo, speaking about the upcoming match, said: “We are trying to follow our tactical plan and give 100% of our energy. It’s important to stay focused and disciplined so we can face the opponents properly. Bosnia is a very good team with strong cooperation; we saw what Italy needed to do with Fontecchio to win, even when some players are missing. We need to come out strong.”
On his part, Kostas Charalampidis, an assistant to Vassilis Spanoulis, stated: “Our approach for the game against Bosnia is the same. We’re not looking beyond the next match; we prepare accordingly and aim to pass on what we want in the tactical part because there’s no opportunity for training. So far, the players have shown significant absorption of what we ask of them.”
In an interview with Gazzetta, Amar Alibegovic said: “Giannis is the ‘big ace’ of the Greek team, we all know that, but from what I’ve seen here in Cyprus, the combination of his presence with Spanoulis on the bench really seems beneficial. The way the Greek coach utilizes him, fitting all the other pieces of the puzzle, shows that Greece can go very high! Why not even win the trophy!”
