Rumors of a romance between the actor and the model first began circulating back in 2019. On Friday, September 12, Brooks posted photos on Instagram showing off her engagement ring.

The couple has generally kept their relationship out of the public spotlight. In a December 2021 interview with Stellar magazine, the model spoke about her private life:
“My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me. And I feel that in an industry where so much is put out into the public eye, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. I completely understand the interest in our relationship, but at the end of the day, I think I like to keep it just for me.”
The Australian actor was previously married to Miley Cyrus for eight months, from December 2018 until August 2019. The former couple finalized their divorce in January 2020.
