Weather: The week ends with 35°C – Rainy weekend

The next week begins with local showers in the mainland until Monday noon

With temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius, today will pass with a few showers in Eastern Macedonia and isolated thunderstorms in Thrace.

According to the weekend forecast, on Saturday the temperature will slightly drop, while on Sunday more rain is expected in Western Greece and possibly in Thessaly.

Next week, indeed, begins with local showers in the mainland until Monday noon.

The weather forecast for today, Friday

In Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, a few clouds that will quickly increase, and during midday–afternoon local showers will occur, with isolated thunderstorms mainly in Thrace. In the rest of the country, generally fair weather with temporary clouds during midday–afternoon hours in the mainland mountains and a chance of local showers mainly in Central Macedonia.

Winds will blow from northern directions 3 to 5 Beaufort, and from noon in the eastern Aegean locally up to 6 Beaufort. The temperature will show a slight drop in the north. On the mainland it will reach 32–33 degrees and locally in the east 34–35 degrees, on the islands of the eastern Aegean, the Dodecanese and Crete 31–32 degrees, and on the Ionian islands and the Cyclades 29–30 degrees Celsius.

WINDS: Variable 3 to 4 Beaufort. In the east after noon, northeast 4 to 5 Beaufort.
TEMPERATURE: From 22 to 33 degrees Celsius.

Thessaloniki
WEATHER: Generally fair with temporary clouds during midday–afternoon hours, with a chance of temporary showers in the mountains.
WINDS: Initially north-northwest 3 to 4 Beaufort, gradually turning south-southeast with the same intensity.
TEMPERATURE: From 19 to 30 degrees Celsius.

The forecast until next Tuesday

On Saturday, generally fair weather with a few clouds. During midday–afternoon in the mainland, clouds will increase and in the north and east local showers will occur, and in the mountains isolated thunderstorms. Winds will blow from northern directions 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the Aegean 5 to 6 Beaufort.

Temperature will slightly drop in eastern and northern mainland and slightly rise in western Greece. It will reach 30–32 degrees in most areas, and locally 33–34 degrees in the west and south.

On Sunday, initially fair weather with a few clouds, but quickly in the northern Ionian, Epirus and gradually from noon in the rest of western Greece, western and central Macedonia, and possibly Thessaly, clouds will increase and local rains will occur, gradually with isolated thunderstorms.

Winds will blow in the west and Macedonia from the west up to 4 Beaufort, and in the rest of the country from the north 4–6 and in the Aegean locally 7 Beaufort. Temperature will show a slight drop.

On Tuesday, almost fair weather throughout the country with a few clouds, locally increased in the mainland during midday–afternoon. Winds will blow in the west from the west 3–4 Beaufort, and in the east from the north 4–5 and locally in the Aegean 6 Beaufort. Temperature will show a slight rise.
