The two actresses, who first met on Friends—where they played sisters—and now co-star on The Morning Show, participated in a LADbible quiz titled “How Well Do You Know Me?”. But the question about Reese’s real name was the one that truly caught Jennifer off guard.

When asked to guess, Jennifer confidently answered, “Jane.” The correct answer, however, was “Jean.” That’s when Reese revealed, “I’m Laura Jean.” Jennifer’s immediate reaction: “Laura Jean?” Reese confirmed, “Yes, that’s my real name.” Jennifer, visibly shocked, exclaimed: “What? Who the heck is Laura Jean?” and added playfully, “Should I start calling you that from now on? Laura Jean?”

The surprises didn’t stop there. Reese clarified that her full name is Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon, and that “Reese” actually comes from her middle name. Curious, Jennifer asked, “Why did you choose Reese as your stage name?” Reese replied, “I didn’t change it. My name was just always Reese.” She also admitted she had never known Jennifer’s middle name, which is Joanna, prompting a shocked “What? I had no idea!” from Aniston.
