Trouble awaits passengers at the “Eleftherios Venizelos” airport today, as delays to domestic and international flights continue for a fifth day.
According to ERTnews, the flight from Zante, which was expected at 7 a.m., arrived twenty minutes before 8 a.m., and at least five more flights were rescheduled. Specifically:
-The flight from Cairo landed at 07.15 instead of 06.00
-The flight from Yerevan was delayed by half an hour.
-The flight from Tbilisi was also delayed by half an hour.
-The flight from Riyadh was due at 07.00 and was rescheduled for 8.40
-The arrival from Doha was delayed by 15 minutes
Delays are seen across the board, both departures and arrivals.
Passengers are again advised to contact the airline as delays may exceed 30 minutes.
The cause of the delays is capacity restrictions in airspace management by the Civil Aviation Authority’s Air Traffic Control.
