Kyriakos Pierrakakis proceeded with the submission of the state budget for 2026 to the Parliament.
In his brief intervention in the Plenary, the Minister of Finance said, “You will see that this is a realistic, social, feasible, and developmental budget.”
Mr. Pierrakakis then handed the top bill to the Speaker of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis, in the form of a digital USB stick, although he noted that from next year it will be submitted exclusively in a fully digital form with a QR code on the government cloud.
Mr. Kaklamanis informed the members of the national assembly that the budget discussion in the Plenary will start on Saturday, December 13, while the voting will take place on the evening of Wednesday, December 17.
