A 30-year-old man died in the early hours in Patras following a merciless beating.

According to information from tempo24, two groups who were out at a nightclub in the center of Patras had a dispute over a trivial matter. A fight quickly broke out, leading to a violent beating, during which a 30-year-old from one of the groups was brutally assaulted. Reports say he was struck with chairs to the head and across his body.

Relatives who were with him rushed him to the hospital, along with another member of the group who had suffered lighter injuries. According to information, members of the other group also went to the hospital. However, just minutes later, the 30-year-old succumbed to his injuries.

Doctors immediately alerted the police, who launched a search operation. According to reports, the three suspects are well-known figures in the nightlife scene, already known to the Hellenic Police, and have been identified.

At the same time, police have taken precautionary measures to prevent possible retaliation, while the victim’s group has been taken to the police headquarters to give statements.
