In the last few hours, 16-year-old Laura, who disappeared from Patra in early January last year, has been in a shelter structure.
The young woman was spotted during a random check on a road in Berlin and is said to be in good health. According to reports, the girl’s contact with her parents will be made through a social worker and the family will be informed by the German social services.
The 16-year-old’s disappearance was officially reported on January 8 when her parents, who are German and live permanently in Patras, came to the police station and reported that their daughter was missing.
From the ensuing investigation, the police found that the minor had recently purchased an iPhone from a classmate and had confided in a friend that she needed money to go somewhere.
Laura then left Patras and arrived in Athens, specifically at Zographou’s, by taxi. The driver testified that the minor was alone throughout the entire trip. After arriving in Athens, Laura visited a travel agency and bought a ticket to Frankfurt, Germany.
On 9 February, a trace of her presence in Berlin was traced, and there was constant communication between the ELAS and the German authorities and Europol throughout the preceding period.
Finally, the search for her location ended without a hitch as yesterday Thursday (26/2) the girl was located in Berlin and is in good health while the reasons that prompted her to leave her home are still unclear.
