The weather will be unstable today, with local rain from the early morning hours in several parts of the country and an intensification of phenomena around midday, mainly in Crete, the Dodecanese, southern Peloponnese and western Greece. At the same time, there is an increased likelihood of local hailstorms in mountainous areas, while small concentrations of dust are expected in parts of the country.

Today’s weather
In the early morning hours, rain is expected locally in Evia, in mountainous parts of central mainland Greece, the Peloponnese and Crete, as well as on islands of the southern and eastern Aegean. Around midday, the phenomena will intensify, mainly in Crete, the Dodecanese, southern Peloponnese, western Greece and Epirus. Rain is also expected locally in Central Greece and Eastern Macedonia. The phenomena will gradually weaken in the evening hours.

An increased probability of local hailstorms is expected around midday in Epirus, western Greece, southern Peloponnese, Rhodes, as well as in mountainous mainland areas of central and northern Greece. Small concentrations of dust are expected in the northeastern, central and southern parts of the country.

The temperature will range in Western Macedonia from 3 to 17°C, in the rest of Macedonia and Thrace from 5 to 22°C, in Epirus from 5 to 21°C, in central mainland areas from 4 to 21°C, in the Peloponnese from 3 to 21°C, in Crete from 5 to 18°C, in the Ionian Islands from 9 to 20°C, in the islands of the northern and northeastern Aegean from 9 to 20°C and in the rest of the Aegean islands from 9 to 18°C.

During the morning hours, winds in the southern Aegean will blow from west-northwest directions at 3–4 Beaufort, while in the northern Aegean they will blow from north-northeast directions at 3–4 Beaufort and locally up to 5 Beaufort. From midday onwards, winds are expected to turn to north-northwest directions, weak in the southern Aegean and weak to moderate in the northern Aegean. In the Ionian, winds will blow weakly from west and northwest directions in the morning, shifting to north-northwest from midday, weak and locally up to 4 Beaufort.

In Attica, cloudiness is expected with local light rain mainly in the northern parts of the region around midday. Winds will be weak at 2–3 Beaufort and locally up to 4 Beaufort, mainly from northern and northwestern directions. The temperature will range from 9 to 19°C.

In Thessaloniki, generally fair weather is expected with a few clouds in the afternoon and evening. Winds will be weak at 2–3 Beaufort from northern directions in the morning and will weaken later. The temperature will range from 8 to 21°C.

Weather on Holy Monday 06-04-2026
In Crete and the southernmost parts of the Dodecanese, a few clouds temporarily increased until the afternoon, when a few local showers will occur. In the rest of the country, generally fair weather with temporary cloudiness during midday and afternoon hours over mainland areas, when local showers will occur mainly in mountainous regions.

Winds will blow from northern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort and in the Aegean locally up to 6 Beaufort.

The temperature will show a slight rise, mainly in mainland areas. It will reach 19 to 21°C in most regions and locally in mainland areas 22 to 23°C.

Weather on Holy Tuesday 07-04-2026
In the Dodecanese and Crete, a few clouds temporarily increased with local showers and possibly isolated thunderstorms. In the rest of the country, generally fair weather with a few temporary clouds during midday–afternoon hours over mainland areas.

Winds will blow from northern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort.

The temperature will rise.

Weather on Holy Wednesday 08-04-2026
Initially generally fair weather across the country. From midday onwards, clouds will develop in the northeast and a few local showers will occur in Thrace, central and eastern Macedonia and gradually in eastern Thessaly and the northern Aegean. Visibility will be locally limited, mainly in the west during morning and evening hours.

Winds will blow from northern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort.

The temperature will show a slight drop in the northeast, but in the rest of the country it will remain at higher-than-seasonal levels.

Weather on Holy Thursday 09-04-2026
In the west, generally fair weather, with a few clouds temporarily increased during midday and afternoon hours over mainland areas. In the rest of the country, a few clouds temporarily increased with local rain until late afternoon. Visibility in the west will be locally limited during morning and evening hours and local fog may form.

Winds will blow from northern directions at 3 to 5 Beaufort and locally up to 6 Beaufort at sea.

The temperature will show a slight decrease and in most areas of the country will return to normal levels for the season.
