They are celebrating nine years of marriage, Miranda Kerr and her husband Evan Spiegel.
The 43-year-old model married the 35-year-old co-founder and CEO of Snapchat in California in May 2017. The couple marked their ninth wedding anniversary on Wednesday with a tender joint Instagram post. “Nine years married to my love,” Kerr wrote in the caption of the photo, in which the two are looking into each other’s eyes.

Shortly before their anniversary, Spiegel spoke about their relationship during an appearance on the podcast Tiger Sisters. In the episode, he shared the story of how they met and explained how they support each other.
The couple met in 2014 at a Louis Vuitton dinner at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, where they were seated next to each other. Spiegel recalled, speaking to hosts Cherry Brook Luo and Jean Luo, that he had fun with Kerr, who even ate from his plate. At the same table, Glenda Bailey of Harper’s Bazaar noticed their immediate connection and told Kerr: “I think you two are going to get married.”
About a month later, Kerr texted Spiegel. He was surprised because, although “the spark was definitely there,” he believed he had “no chance” with her. Their first date eventually took place at a yoga class.
“Anyway, going back to our relationship, I think one of the things that helped a lot was that she had grown up in the public eye from a very young age. So she was so used to the pressure, the criticism, and everything that comes with it,” Spiegel said. “And at a time in my life when I was going through many of those changes… it was incredible to see her grace and composure in all those intense public situations. And learning from that was amazing,” he added.
“And then, you know, the other thing that was so clear from the beginning is that she is an amazing mother. And that was something that was really important to me,” he continued, adding: “It was just wonderful to build our family and learn so much from her.”
Kerr has three sons with Spiegel: eight-year-old Hart, six-year-old Myles, and two-year-old Pierre. She also has a 15-year-old son, Flynn, with her former husband Orlando Bloom.
