Prime Minister Posidonia 2026 is currently attending the opening of the international maritime exhibition Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Metropolitan Expo.
Earlier, from the podium of Posidonia, two leading representatives of Greek shipping, Nicolas Martinos of Thenamaris and Achilleas Konstantakopoulos of ENSOFI, representing also the family-owned shipping company Costamare, presented their own views on the present and future of the industry.
Martinos focused on the strong performance of recent years, noting however that this is being shaped in a complex and often volatile international environment where conflict, energy upheavals and regulatory developments are creating new challenges. For his part, Mr. Konstantakopoulos highlighted the importance of trust and continuity, stressing that despite the complexity and size of the shipping industry, at its heart remain the people and the bonds built over time. Their interventions highlighted two complementary dimensions of modern shipping: on the one hand, the need for strategic adaptation in an uncertain international context and on the other, the preservation of the values that form the basis of the timeless success of the Greek maritime ecosystem.
