Bad weather is forecast from Friday 24/7 until the late morning hours of Saturday 25/7 in most parts of the country, with the main characteristics being heavy rainfall and thunderstorms.

In many areas, the phenomena will be accompanied by locally strong winds (squalls), frequent lightning activity, while there is also a possibility of local hailstorms.

More specifically, strong rainfall and thunderstorms are forecast:

Friday 24-07-26

1. In Central Macedonia (the prefectures of Pieria, Imathia, Halkidiki, and Thessaloniki) from the late morning hours until late at night (orange warning).

2. In eastern Thessaly (the prefectures of Larissa and Magnesia) from the midday hours until late at night (orange warning), mainly in coastal and seaside areas (red warning).

3. In the Sporades and Evia (mainly central and northern Evia) from the midday hours (red warning).

4. In eastern Central Greece (Sterea Ellada), including Attica, from the afternoon hours until late at night (orange warning).

5. In the northeastern Aegean islands (the islands of Lemnos, Thasos, and Samothrace) from late at night (orange warning).

Saturday 25-07-26

1. In the Sporades until the morning hours (red warning).
