A few days ago, Enes Kanter shocked the NBA community by announcing that he would enter the WNBA draft.
Most people thought it was simply a joke for social media, but he soon clarified his intentions and eventually officially submitted his application, explaining his reasoning.
“If the only requirement for me to be in the WNBA is to be myself, then I meet all the requirements,” he said, before continuing:
“I know that my presence on the court will provoke strong reactions. I am not here to mock, ridicule, or show disrespect toward any community or personal choice.”
He has now revealed in a video posted on social media that he has also been in contact with other former players who have expressed interest, explaining the idea through financial figures.
