4.6 earthquake reported in Amfilochia in western Greece

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute reported the tremor at 4.7 Richter

An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter Scale occurred at 02:20 on Tuesday morning (21/3) in Amfilochia.

Initially, the epicentre of the tremor was located 9 km south of Menidi and the focal depth was estimated at 10 km, according to the Geodynamic Institute.

In a revised measurement, the Geodynamic Institute reported the earthquake at 4.6 Richter with an epicentre 12 kilometres north-northeast of Amfilochia, or 245 kilometres west-northwest of the capital, and the focal depth at 17.8 km.

The Euro-Mediterranean Institute put the earthquake at 4.7 Richter, while the tremor was felt both in Preveza and Lefkada, as well as in Patras.
