4th Athens Open Air Film Festival

Masterpieces of the international cinema free of charge in Athenian squares .The most beautiful way to spend your evening.

The Open Air Film Festival has won the hearts of the Athenians. One of the best initiatives of the city in recent years.

The festival was launched in June and will last until September. The full program is as follows:

Athens transforms into a vast open cinema and life on the big screen continues with the iconic film noir by Roman Polanski, “Chinatown”, which is playing in the garden of the Byzantine Museum (09/07), “The payday of Fear” by William Frintkin will be displayed after decades for the first time again in Greece on the walkway of D. Areopagitou on the 10/07.
The most euphoric film of Alain Resnais, the unorthodox musical “Life is a Song” (14/07) and the favorite movie by the same director Pantelis Voulgaris, the “Acropolis” at the Euripidean Theatre Rematias in Halandri on the(15/07). The “Let women wait” by Stavros Tsiolis will play in the Park of the Platonos Academy on the 17/07.

Chinatown and “Life is a Song” are two excellent examples of contemporary cinema which stand out by far.
