His friend drowned during their crabbing trip to Darwin

The Australian wilderness is a very dangerous, and sometimes even fatal place to visit, as two men found out during their crabbing trip in Australia’s northern Territory in Darwin. The two best friends in their 70s were crabbing in their small boat when a huge saltwater crocodile rammed and capsized the vessel. One of the men, Noel Ramage drowned, but Ray Mccomber, 72, managed to survive and fend off many crocodiles for hours with spanners and spark plugs! The senior man managed to take shelter among mangroves, but had to battle multiple crocodiles before being rescued. Mccombre hit one crocodile with a spanner, while he threw some spark plugs at another. He was finally recued after 3 hours when a group of professional crabbers found him in the mangroves. Ramage’s body was also brought to shore.  Ian Badham, the director of CareFlight said these incidents happen once in a while, and they were not just stories.
