The economic team of the government has set as a top priority the implementation of the first six prerequisites, which should have already been met in May, in order to proceed with the disbursement of the tranche of 1 billion euros.
The Finance Minister, Gikas Hardouvelis, who is fully updated on 178 dossiers handed over by his predecessor, Yannis Stournaras, and the pending issues that the government has to settle down, considers that it is possible to implement the six specific prerequisites until troika comes in Athens, since some of these actions have already been implemented or are about to be implemented.
The six prerequisites concern:
– The law on the open markets (already implemented)
– The law on licenses (implemented) and spatial planning
– Updating the list of taxes to third
– Adopting a code of conduct for members of the government to limit corruption (in progress)
– Issuing a Joint Ministerial Decision on debt collection
– The law on reducing the profit margin of pharmacists
