Netherlands and Chile were trying to conquer the first spot in their group in order to avoid playing against Brazil in the next round.

Both teams were battling out until the 77th minute when Leroy Fer, on his first touch ever in a World Cup, scored a magnificent header goal, giving the lead to the Netherlands. This was followed by a goal by Memphis Depay on the 91st minute, with the Dutch marching on to win their group.
