Four automatic mini buses made their way to the Greek streets of Trikala, northwestern Greece. The driverless buses are on trial as part of the EU-funded CityMobil2 research project. Each bus has a seating capacity of 10-12 passengers and are currently being tested in five European cities, including the Greek one.

The buses are equipped with a GPS system and lazer that follows a predetermined route. Sensors are used to detect obstacles before taking decisive action to avoid a collision.
