Union of Centrists leader Vassilis Leventis said that there is a possibility to support, and even participate in the government of Alexis Tsipras.

In order to do this, Mr. Leventis set as a condition Panos Kammenos not to be part of the government.

“If he ends the cooperation with Kammenos, I will support the government,” he said to Parapolitika FM.

Mr. Leventis characterized the coalition government as “unnatural coupling”, stressing that they cooperated to split the ministries and they did not talk about their program. He also predicted that this cooperation will be ended soon.

He clarified, however, that before any discussion to be conducted, he won’t support unconditionally the government and he will not give a vote of confidence. “I want to see what kind of memorandum they are going to implement,” he said urging Prime Minister to negotiate again with the creditors.
