Supporters of the Islamic State (ISIS) militant group appeared exuberant on the morning after the Paris attacks in a number of different areas that resulted in more than 153 dead. Following the night of terror, Twitter was abuzz with hashtags #ParisIsBurning and #باريس_تشتعل (Paris in flames) apparently initiated by supporters of ISIS.

Tweets such as “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great) – the words the attackers sang out while on their shooting spree at the Bataclan concert hall and the international Stade de France stadium were repeated by supporters. Attackers also reportedly yelled to the crowd, “This is for Syria”, before open firing and throwing hand grenades.

A since-suspended Twitter account affiliated with ISIS may have also tweeted about the impending attack prior to the act of terrorism. The alleged screenshot by Anonymous-affiliated @AnonRevolt_ warned Parisians at 10.34 p.m. on November 13, more than two hours prior to the attacks that began at 12.48 a.m. on November 14.

Alleged tweets warned that there would be more attacks to come in London and Rome on November 14 and 15. There are currently hashtags titled Paris on Fire, London on Fire, Rome on Fire and Washington on Fire.
