Equity prices rose on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE) today, with the basic share price index up 0.46%, standing at 1,232.08 points at 11:00 a.m. with turnover at 10.515 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.62%, and the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.42%.

On individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Media that rose 2.90%; Chemicals rose 1.85% and Banks went up 0.87 percent.

The heaviest losses were in Commerce, down 1.03%; and in Household and Personal Goods, down 0.89%.

31 of the stocks traded were up, 22 were down, and 8 were unchanged.
