A 27-year-old Greek man from Edessa posed as a Victoria’s Secret booking agent and managed to undress 450 girls next door that he met on Facebook with promises of an international modelling career. The Cyber Squad managed to find the man who left his digital traces at Internet cafe around the region where he lived in Northern Greece.
The man approached young women and presented himself as a scout seeking to find “fresh talent” for Victoria’s Secret. He then managed to gather a plethora of photographs featuring the young women in sensual poses.
The case first came to the attention of the Greek cyber squad in 2014 when young women and the well-known lingerie firm complained that an unknown social media user with a series of different profiles was approaching models and promising high financial rewards from 350 to 1,000 euros in return for them sending him their CV and selfies featuring them wearing underwear so that they could be evaluated by himself and his colleagues.
The police confiscated his PC, tablet and usb stick where they found thousands of photographs. The young man was not at home during the police raid, and is still being sought.
