Greek football teams AEL Larissa and Acharnaikos staged a sit-down protest in a touching tribute to refugees who have lost their lives trying to reach Greek islands.

When the referee blew his whistle to get the game underway, all 22 players including coaches, medical staff and match officials sat on the ground, while the teams’ fans applauded their actions.
