A man was discovered alive inside a tomb after he was allegedly attacked and left there to die.

The man was found at the Caju Cemetery in Campos dos Goytacazes, Brazil by the relatives of a person who was buried there.

They were visiting the cemetery to pray for their relative when they noticed bloodstains and that its cover had been moved, as Daily Mail writes.

They immediately called the authorities, and the firemen who rushed to the scene removed the cover and found a severely injured man lying inside the small tomb.

The man had visible wounds on his body and was taken to the hospital. His condition is stable, while police are carrying out an investigation on the incident.
