A diplomatic incident between Colombia and Belgium was about to happen because of a… caricature! A television channel in Brussels published a cartoon showing three Colombian players sniffing the foul line set by the referee!

Naturally, this caused the reaction of the Colombian ambassador to Belgium, Rodrigo Rivera, and the cartoonist was forced to delete its sketch from Facebook and apologize.

This is the third incident, during the World Cup, that causes the reaction of Colombians. A few days ago, two TV presenters in Australia said that Colombia is known for its coffee and cocaine, while earlier another insulting caricature was published on Dutch media.
