Kouroumblis: Neither Tsipras nor Minister of Rural Development promised anything to anyone

Greek people voted for the Memorandum last September, he said

Minister of Interior Panagiotis Kouroumblis reiterated the hackneyed argument that government uses to answer about its austerity measures, claiming that Greek people voted for the Memorandum last September and therefore no one has the right to complain about the measures.

Speaking at SKAI TV channel, Mr. Kouroumplis reffered to farmers issue and said that neither Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras nor Minister of Rural Development Vangelis Apostolou promised anything to anyone.

“We went to the elections with this Memorandum, we told people the truth. The Memorandum passed and history will judge this period,” he said adding “these measures have not been proposed by the government, but they have been imposed by the third memorandum”.
