Popular Greek singer Notis Sfakianakis said the refugee crisis is a ‘conspiracy’ during a television interview Cyprus’s state broadcaster RIK. Sfakianakis continued by claiming that the whole crisis was ‘rigged’ because they were entering Greece and raping the our country. ‘I was also an immigrant to Germany. I have no problem at all with the immigrants, because many of my family members have migrated  to other countries’, he said. He added that his family weren’t illegal immigrants, but legal ones with entry permits to the countries they were going. The reporter interrupted him by pointing out that they were refugees, but Sfakianakis stopped him and accused the refugees of dropping their shields. ‘ No-one attacked their country. They have a civil war’, he said. Speaking a recent experience he had on the island of Kos, he said he was shocked to see they were ‘loaded’ with 500-Euro packs.
