The Greek government is trying to ensure that there will be no objections expressed by its MPs regarding the second package of measures to be voted over the weekend, which will include the last prior actions to conclude the first program review.

The government worries that there might be some MPs who will express their opposition to certain measures, such as the mechanism for automatic cuts in state expenditure, the privatizations and the sale of performing and non-performing loans to funds.

The prime minister also attempted on Monday to convince everyone that the government will be the one who will control the automatic cuts mechanism and intervene and decide the measures necessary to be applied.
