Government spokesperson Sophia Voultepsi on Thursday expressed the government’s volition not to call the parliament plenum for the referendum proposal on “small PPC” signed by 139 MPs on Thursday.
Speaking at private TV SKAI, Voultepsi said that the government has the final word for the convention of the parliament plenum and accused main opposition SYRIZA of relying on Golden Dawn’s signatures. “It is time everyone faced their responsibilities,” she said adding that the political dispute over PPC is “technical”.
Referring to government’s meetings with the troika of Greece’s lenders that will start on Thursday, she underlined that some parts of the negotiation are difficult, adding that the government is in a “continuous negotiation” with the troika and that “the results are apparent”.
